Limited?

Anthony Robles was born with only one leg. Now, you might see this as a limitation. But Anthony didn’t see it that way. He chose a different path. Instead of letting what he lacked define him, he used it as a unique strength. Through dedication, hard work, and relentless determination, he became an NCAA wrestling champion, proving that perceived weaknesses can become powerful assets.

That’s right. Anthony turned what most people would see as a limitation into his greatest strength. It wasn’t easy, and there were probably plenty of doubts and hard days. But his story reminds us that sometimes, what feels like a weakness can be an invitation to innovate, to lean on God’s strength, and to discover abilities we never knew we had.

As we step into this New Year, consider this: What limitations or challenges are you facing? How might God be inviting you to see them differently…not as obstacles but as opportunities to grow in faith and character?

Paul learned this well.  God reminded him regularly: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”, and Paul concluded “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9,10)

So, here’s a little New Year’s challenge for you: Don’t hide your limitations. Don’t shrink back from your struggles. Invite God into them. Let Him show you how those things can become part of your unique story—one that shines with His power.

You might just find that what once felt like a roadblock is actually a stepping stone

Yours in faith,

Roy Ice
