She had $1.11. And she thought it could buy a miracle.
Eight-year-old Tess didn’t understand medicine or money. All she knew was that her little brother needed help, and someone said, “Only a miracle can save him now.”
So she walked to the local pharmacy and asked to buy one.
The pharmacist was at a loss — but someone overheard her. That man just happened to be Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon specializing in neurosurgery — the very kind of surgeon her brother needed. He performed the operation… and saved Andy’s life.
Tess didn’t know how miracles worked. She just believed they did.
And maybe that’s the kind of faith Jesus was talking about when He said, “Unless you become like little children…” (Matthew 18:3)
You don’t need to understand the whole plan. You don’t have to know how it will happen.
You just need to bring your $1.11 of faith to the One who still works miracles.
“Fear not… for a Savior is born to you — Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)
And that Savior still answers desperate prayers. Especially the kind that comes from the faith found in a childlike heart.
In His Love,
